What Causes Right-sided Pain Under Rib Cage And Fatty Liver?

Question: i am experiencing pain under the rib cage on my right side. I was told i have fatty liver (non alcoholic) about 6 months ago. I have recently been diagnosed for Gerd and have been prescribed esomeprazole. Would these esomeprazole be the cause of the pain i am having. Should i stop taking esomeprazole. thank you

I understand your concern.

The pain under your right rib cage is directly related to the fatty liver.
Fatty liver is known to enlarge causing pain due to stretching of liver capsule.

Esomeprazole is not known to cause pain under rib cage as in your case.

You need not stop taking this drug.
