What Causes Ringing In Ears And Decreased Hearing Post Head Injury?

Head injury to be evaluated
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX XXXXXXX ,
I have gone through your query and understand your concerns.
Head injury severity and symptoms vary according to nature and force of imapct. The worrisome symptoms are Recurrent vomiting ,severe headache , loss of consciousness, seizure, Bleeding from nose or ear and any focal neurological deficit in form of weakness in limbs or facial deviation. You did not report any of these symptoms.
However ringing in ear with decreased hearing or ear bleed may be a result of injury to eight nerve.
There may be some symptoms related to issues at academy leading to decreased sleeping and hallucinations. But in view of recent head injury and possibilities of eighth cranial nerve issues, brain imaging is required to rule out any serious inner injury.
He may consult a neurosurgeon or neurologist for proper examination. I feel brain scan will be ordered to rule out injuries.
Hope you found the answer helpful.

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX XXXXXXX
According to me, there is no need of brain imaging if examination is normal. Also he has some adjustment related issues.
Is there any swaying while walking or fall to either side. Then imaging can be done.
If you are very concerned and CT imaging can be done without hassle you can go for it.
Continue prescribed medication for anxiety and sleep.
