What Causes Rough Patches On Inner Cheeks Inspite Of Having Leukoplakia?
Go for biopsy for proper diagnosis.
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for writing in.
I would like to tell you that leukoplakia is a pre-cancerous lesion characterized by non-scrappable white patches. If you have history of smoking & patches are non-scrappable then it can be leukoplakia.
Various other such lesions are oral candidiasis, lichen planus.
To rule out you need to go for biopsy of that patch.
If its Leukoplakia, firstly you need to quit smoking.
Include vitamin supplements specially vitamin A & E.
Continue application of that triamcinolone acetonide gel on that region.
If lesion is larger you may go for surgical excision.
Consult your dentist for further treatment planning.
Hope I answered your query
Wishing you good health
