What Causes Sagging Right Testicle?

Posted on Thu, 5 Mar 2015
Question: Hi, I just had a question. I asked before but am not sure. I am 27 and recently I noticed the right testicle hanging much lower than the left one. Its kind of sagging. When I move it goes back into place and then drops again and seems more flexible than the other one. I felt for lumps or anything unusual on it andfound nothing and I am not sure if its swollen or if its just hanging alot lower. Also it seems like in general because this one is lower its almost the testicles are sort of tilted to the side and not hanging down. They just seem uneven is the best way I can describe it. I am not sure if i would describe it as twisted but its like the longer one is pushing the other one off to the side a little. Also I have some abdominal pain but that goes is intermittent and usually goes away with passing of gas and were more like IBS like symptoms. This might just be in my head. I have no pain in the testicles and it might feel a little heavier than usual but i cant really say as it just might be in my head. Could this be testicular torsion or is the pain very severe from that. Not sure.

Hello!

Welcome to Healthcare Magic.

I read carefully your query and can understand your concern.

It is not testicular torsion because this is an emergency situation when the blood supply of the testes is compromised due to torsion. The pain is severe and associated with other symptoms of shock.
Considering all your symptoms ,inguinal hernia should be taken in consideration. This is a condition when the abdominal soft tissue protrudes out abdomen and can get into scrotum causing you such problems.
Usually the right testicle is often smaller than the left and hang lower then the left. This is normal but you should get examined to exclude any pathological cause.

Physical examination is essential in your case so I would suggest to consult a physician for examination.

Hope it helps.
Let me know if you have any other question or doubt to clarify.I will be happy to assist you further.
