Brief Answer:
Obstruction to bile flow/High fat content

Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for posting your query.
I am Dr.R.K and I am pleased to assist you.

Pale stool could indicate high fat content or obstruction to bile flow.

If it is due to obstruction to bile flow, you will also be jaundiced with yellow eyes and yellow urine and itching. The liver panel will show abnormal values.

If it is due to high fat content of the stool, you will not be jaundiced, there will be no itching and the stool would be bulky, oily, offensive and will float.

Since you are recovering from acute diarrhea, consider taking probiotics and BRAT diet (Banana Rice Apple sauce , Toast).

Regards,
Dr.R.K.
