What Causes Severe Abdominal Gas And Belching After Eating?
some ideas
Detailed Answer:
Hello and I am sorry you are having these difficulties.
It sounds like you are having pretty severe reflux. I am not sure what antacids you are taking but something like omeprazole is probably the best bet and it needs to be taken 30 minutes before supper for the best result. You can also take it 30 minutes before breakfast if you have symptoms during the day. If you have not had this problem before you may want to ask your doctor to test you for Helicobactor pylori, a bacteria that can cause stomach problems and even ulcers. You may even need a gastroenterologist to look into your stomach with a camera if the problem does not resolve.
Taking probiotics is a good idea and losing some weight may help. Other things that can make reflux worse are alcohol, acidic foods like tomatoes and citrus, tobacco, mints and eating large meals. Also avoid eating at least 3 hours before bedtime so your food has time to digest.
