What Causes Severe Abdominal Pain, Constipation And Blood Stool?
Question: Hi, I,ve had severe lower abdominal pain for about 5 days. For the first three, I passed no stools. I then started drinking aloe Vera juice and that enabled me to pass a very small stool. However, when I wiped, there was pinkish coloured blood and mucus on the tissue. I went to the pharmacist to see if they could recommend anything and they gave me a laxitive (sachets). I took two yesterday as instructed and it has led to some diarroah this morning, which provides short term relief, but I have been checking when I wipe, for blood etc. and there were tiny, hard, red things, which are like splinters. I'm a little concerned. I haven't taken any more of the laxitive.

A colonoscopy has to be done to find the cause.
