
What Causes Severe Cough, Shortness Of Breath And Swelling In The Ankle?

Question: Thought I just had a lung infection, i have shortness of breath when I move around I can't breathe I cough periodically but it's more like a suffocating cough. I did take a five day anabiotic and albuterol inhaler. And today I noticed my ankles are swollen

From your description you seem to be suffering from bronchial asthma/COPD.
Along with albuterol inhaler you take symbicort inhaler also- 2 puffs twice a day. Also take a tablet of montair lc daily. Avoid dust/smoke and very cold temperatres. If you are a smoker, you should stay away from it.
The ankle swelling seems to be unrelated to your cough and breathing difficulty.
It could be due to a particular BP medicine if you are taking that or it could be due to some orthopedic cause. You may consult a orthopedic surgeon for it.

Why would my ankles areretaining water .. do you think it retsining in my lungs and heart?
