Hi
Welcome.
I have gone through your query.
Red bumps on the tongue are normal. I don't think you need to worry about it. But you can upload the picture of it for better assessment.
Is there any history of injury?
Do you have cough?
Since when you are having this pain?
Are you having any acidity problem?
Upper respiratory tract infection, may sometime present with your symptom.
Presently I would suggest you to drink plenty of water especially warm water. Warm Salt water gargling 3 to 4 times a day. Eat smooth foods, such as flavored gelatins, ice cream. Suck lozenges like strepsils or cofsil 3 to four times a day. Take over-the-counter pain relievers such as acetaminophen ( 500 mg twice daily) or ibuprofen for 3 days.
If the symptoms persist after 3 days or worsens, I would suggest you to see ENT specialist.
This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
