Brief Answer:
Migraine or neurological problems can cause this.

Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.

I am Dr. DADAPEER K, an Ophthalmologist and I answer health problems related to eye.

It seems from the history that you had a episode of severe headache associated with dilated pupils.
The symptoms of not able to read the near things is because of dilatation of the pupils.

The cause for dilated pupils and headache needs to be evaluated.
The common cause is migraine headache and this will improve with treatment for migraine. The drugs like toradol will take care of migraine headache.
However if you are having persistent dilated pupils with headache and other neurological symptoms like weakness, dizziness.... it requires neurological evaluation to rule out neurological problems by investigations like MRI.

Hence as of now do continue the treatment and attend follow up with your doctor and if the symptoms persist you need to consult your neurologist for further evaluation and treatment.

Hope the information is helpful to you.

Thank you
