default
Posted on Tue, 8 Nov 2016
Question: Middle of the night I wake up with back, chest, and severe headache. Can't continue to sleep for the next 2 hours. Use to get this over the last 2 years but maybe once or twice a year. But now I get this very frequently.

Brief Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX your symptoms sound to me like attacks of acidity

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXXXXX your symptoms sound to me like attacks of acidity since they come on at midnight (3-4 hours after dinner). Please try taking only an Omepraxole 20 mg preparation half an hour before dinner for a week. If it does not improve, my next diagnosis will be cervical spondylosis (this is different from spondylitis where there is a structural problem. Here there is only a slight inflammation). Please use a hard thin pillow and gently massage your neck with a pain balm at bedtime. Actually you can do both simultaneously (Omeprazole and pain balm) but you will not know the diagnosis. Hope to have you better. Regards
