Brief Answer:
capsule have more property to indigestion compared to tablet
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
Thank you for your Query.
If you take capsule instead of tablet take it with food. If you take it on empty stomach, then chance of indigestion and gastritis is high.
If still problem with it, change back to tablet form.
Fluoxetine has property to cause gastritis and if it is taken in capsule form, gastritis is more as compared to tablet form.
Thank you

What is gastritis exactly?
I have had a feeling of burning in my throat but it seems to orignate from by belly and burn up to my throat?
This is a feeling that I have never had before...............the only thing that I can liken it to is when you don't chew your food very well and then you swallow ......causing a burning feeling as the food moves down your esophagus.

Brief Answer:
Gastritis is burning pain in stomach
Detailed Answer:
Hi dear,
gastritis means increased acid secretion in stomach which cause burning epi-gastric pain and which secondary cause pain in throat due to regurgitation of food in stomach.
Burning feeling as the food passes down to esophagus is secondary to reflux of stomach acid and secondary inflammation.
So fluoxetine is prone to cause gastritis and to prevent it, take the tablet with food so that the acid secretion is neutralized by food and gastritis doesn't occur.
Tablet form of fluoxetine is less prone to cause gastritis than capsule form.
