What Causes Severe Joint Pain And Recurrent Fever?
Question: hello doctor,
I'm 29 male, actually I got viral fever 20 days back with severe body pain, even after fever went had joints pain for somedays, which almost took a week for the pain to go completely. Felt better after somedays and travelled to a holy shrine where I totally got exhausted and came back home with severe body pain and fever again. so went a local doctor got an injection and took dolo 650 where only fever came down but not joints pain. I have pain in my wrist, shoulders, fingers, ankles and limbs. I'm not able to even do daily chores as my joints pain gets bad and feel feverish. I even got a fever profile done where everything came negative. I even have gastric wit indigestion and loose watery stools which is only in the morning. Please suggest as I'm really worried. awaiting your response.
Thanks

Brief Answer:
Get tested for Chikungunya
Detailed Answer:
Welcome to Healthcaremagic.
Hi, I am Dr Anshul Varshney , I have read your query in detail , I understand your concern.
Such severe joint pain and recurrent fever is seen in viral fevers , but the way you are describing your joint pains, i would like to evaluate you for Chikungunya fever.
I would recommend you to get Chikungunya IgM from an authentic lab and write back to me with the reports.
Till then continue the medicines as advised by your doctor and take Cap Darolac twice daily for loose stools.
This is my personal opinion based on details available here. If you still have any other query, you may please ask me.
Stay Healthy.
