What Causes Severe Knee Pain While Kneeling Down?
Question: In the last 5 months I have have had incredible knee pain. It only hurts when I am kneeling down on the knee itself and only on one small area. There is no burse and it doesn't hutt unless I am on my knees and that specific spot has focused pressure on it. The pain is unreal. brings tears to my eyes.

Thank you for posting your query on HCM.
Well looking into your problem I would like to tell you that you require further evaluation . It might be a meniscal tear that is troubling you as you get pain in one specific point only. For that plain x ray wont suffice , you will need to get an MRI done for the same to look for the menisci .
You should see a doctor for the same as physical examination is also very important in determining the kind of lesion and without that it will be difficult to comment . Till then you can take an antinflammatory like naproxen 500 mg for the same if there is no contraindication .

Could it be a bone spur? It's just crazy because there is no pain what so ever unless I am kneeling on it. I have pushed on every spot by hand trying to see if there's pain and nothing. Only when kneeling and only when I roll on tjat one spot. The pain unreal. Last goforr 3-4 mins. Then gone. My brother has the same issue but it's in both knees.
