What Causes Severe Neck And Shoulder Pain After A TMJ Surgery?

Question: I have severe pain from a TMJ surgery which affects my whole left side down to my neck and shoulder. I am on Amoxillian 875 for 10 days and it has not worked. Is there another solution?
Brief Answer:
Do you have an infection? Are you on any pain medications?
Detailed Answer:
Hi and thank you so much for this query.
I am so sorry to hear about this severe pain that you have reported. However, amoxillian its more for an infection and not pain. If you are not on any pain medications, I will suggest that you go ahead and request for some from your prescribing doctor. In the interim, a combination of ibuprofen and tylenol would help with pains. More powerful options are not available over the counter and can only be provided by your treating doctor.
I hope this helps. I wish you well. Thanks for using our services and do feel free to ask for more information and clarifications if need be.
