What Causes Severe Pain In The Left Arm?

Question: my 43 year old son lives in an apt. with terrible mold and was very sick from it. he cleaned the mold and painted over it. his coughing, etc. is gone but at night his left arm is in terrible pain. during the day it hurts but not as bad. what can he do besides move.

I read your question and i understand your concern. Recent improvement from a fungal infection followed by pain in left arm needs to be evaluated. It could be a musculoskeletal spasm, a bad posture while sleeping, could be sequelae of injections if he had any in that arm for the treatment of mold. Apart from it , if advil is not helping, he should consult a local physician or a rheumatologist, let them assess the shoulder for its mobility and run some labs to rule out any pinch nerve or dislocation or neck of the spine compressing on any nerve supplying shoulder. Try physiotherapy and acupuncture as well and see if it helps.
