What Causes Sharp Abdominal Pain After Taking Prednisone?

Question: i had ear surgery on Monday, the Dr. prescribed 60mg of prednisone to control swelling. after two days i had sharp abdominal pains (lower left side) and he took me off the medication. after 3 days the pain is still there (not as sharp as Wednesday but not getting any better). it happens whenever i put weight on that leg (walking up stairs, changing clothes, stepping the wrong way). any ideas?
