The ovarian cysts were both diagnosed by ultrasound and we were told they would take care of themselves. As she just had another ultrasound and they saw no other cysts then that idea is no longer viable. While looking for another cyst they also looked for signs of endrometriosis sp? There were no signs of that either.
She does have painful periods, but this is not corresponding to anytime she exercises and starts to break a sweat the pain brings her to her knees. She said it feels like she is going to pass out. She does not throw up but at that moment she feels nauseated. No fevers.
This pain has been almost a year but we were told that it may have been related to a cyst in the past. It has been 8 months had another ultrasound to rule that out. No cyst but the pains are still there.
The pain is on the right mid-abdomen.
She eats a clean diet, reduced dairy, wheat free as she had sinus issues that have been completely cleared up by changing the diet. Very little soda and junk food, not a smoker.
To get Doppler scan done
Detailed Answer:
Dear Ms
Pain in abdomen is unlikely to be due to ovarian cyst in the absence of recent demonstration of any ovarian cyst.
Possibility of intermittent torsion of ovary needs to be considered especially with the history of effort pain in abdomen. I would suggest you to get Doppler scan done to look for vascularity of ovary during attack of pain.
If the Doppler scan is too normal then there is no cause for concern.
Do get back to me if you need any further assistance, will be glad to assist you.
Take care

Thank you
Torsion is twisting of ovary
Detailed Answer:
Hi
Even if there is Stone , it would have ideally been picked up by ultrasound scan. You are right torsion means twisting of ovary around its axis.
You can discuss it with your Gp. Next step is
1. Ultrasound and Doppler scan during onset of pain to rule out any ovarian torsion or any hydroureter due to calculi
It is important to time the scan during attack of pain
