What Causes Shortness Of Breath While Sleeping?

Question: hi. I've been having this problem for the past week. first it started with me feeling short of breath throughout the day and at night it would be hard to fall asleep. and when I finally do fall asleep I'd wake up out of my sleep gasping for air. And starting today my breathing got a little better and I can sleep easier, but sometimes I feel my heart beat really fast. the feeling would panic me and I'd jump up freaking out. but I took long deep breathes and my heard will slow down. it normally happens when I'm about to sleep or I'll wake up feeling like that. it's kinda scary. I'm at work now and I feel a little short of breath but not that bad and I feel a little pressure in my chest and throat area. I also get a little light headed and dizzy sometimes. what could this be? thank you
