Brief Answer:
Inguinal hernia, a general surgeon to consult

Detailed Answer:
Hi my dear,

The lump you are feeling right above pubic area notable when standing up is suggestive for inguinal hernia.

It is because when you have given birth, the muscle there have become weaker, thus creating a pocket where local organs can e
move in and out.

It might happen due to elevating heavy objects too.

Yours is at first stage when it's notable when standing up.

If I was your caring doctor would advise to consult with a general surgeon to evaluate it further.

They are benign and require surgery to repair: a nest will be placed to strengthen the muscular wall there.

For the moment, I advise to :
- avoid raising heavy objects
- wear tight and high cut panties

All the best!

Thank you so much.

I had a feeling that was what it was. The ripply/spongy sensation that I get when pushing on it is apparently characteristic of a hernia, but I just wanted to ask to be sure. It's difficult to get myself to the doctor these days, what with 2 small kids and a full time job!

Thank you for your assistance

Brief Answer:
Not an emergency for the moment

Detailed Answer:
Hi back XXX XXXXXXX

Your case is not an emergency. Take your time and schedule an appointment with general surgeon.

If you will have pain , then should go to ER for immediate evaluation and repair of hernia.

Enjoy your kids!
