Question: Experiencing raw roof of mouth and swollen tongue. Last week tongue swelled and was scary because I was having trouble swallowing. It went down with advil. I also have been spitting up flem during the day - white /yellow for 3 weeks (I am guessing allergies . No fever or other symptoms
What could be causing it?

As far as the raw roof of the mouth and swollen tongue is concerned, most likely it could be because of the allergic reaction to the food items or any drugs or cosmetics. I would suggest taking a course of anti allergic agents like cetrizine. But you need to find out the cause of the allergic reaction by observing your daily activities. You need to find out after taking which food or drugs or any agents results in allergic reaction. so that you can avoid those agents. If you are not able to find out the cause you can get an allergic test done that will find the allergic agent.
