What Causes Sore Throat And Ear Infection With History Of Conjunctivitis?
It is upper respiratory tract infection.
Detailed Answer:
Hello
Welcome to Health care magic.
It seems from the history that you had conjunctivitis followed by ear infection and sore throat.
This is probably because of spread of infection from eyes and ears to the upper respiratory tract.
Presence of sore throat even after 3 weeks indicates chronic nature of infection, in the form of upper respiratory tract infection.
This is because of persistence of infection or because of high virulent infection which has not responded to treatment.
The pain in the jaw is probably because of referred pain.
Since you are not having fever it rules out acute infection, hence no need to worry.
You need to change the antibiotic and need decongestants and anti cough drugs for symptomatic relief. Along with this salt water gargling provides symptomatic relief.
The medications you are taking like sudafed, mucinex are sufficient for symptomatic relief.
Since you have taken visamox and amoxycillin and the infection is still present you need to change to other antibiotics. I usually prefer yo treat with cephalosporin drugs like cefixime. Do consult your doctor for prescription of appropriate antibiotic.
It is upper respiratory tract infection only and it will resolve with treatment, hence no need to worry.
Hope the information is helpful to you.
Thank you
