What Causes Sore Throat, Body Pain And Fever?

Question: My Daughter (Pranati, Age 18 Yrs) had following from 16th Night
1. Sore Throat
2. Mucus or Sputum not running nose
3. Fever - on and off measured and varying from 96.4 - 100 and 100.7 i.e. fever is coming for sometime
4. Body Ache, felling chill some times and tiredness
we have not given any medicine till now and she has improvement on tiredness and dry cough
Pls advise, if it is viral infection or some other flu can be ?
and suggest test and medicines?
if need, basis on what symptoms, we should approach doctor.?

Hi,

Thanks for your query.

She is having bacterial upper respiratory tract infection. She can take tab. azee 500 mg once a day for 3 days after food. Tab. Dolo 650 mg as and when required for fever. She can have warm lemon juice with a tbsp of honey 1 glass for a week. Steam inhalation for 20 mins 2 or 3 times a day will help.

I am sorry to say this but online prescriptions are not valid. I would suggest you go to a pharmacy store as it is an over the counter medicine. Or else you have to meet your physician for a prescription.
