Detailed Answer:
Hi
Welcome.
I have gone through your query.
Based on the information I think it looks like upper respiratory tract infection. It is viral in nature and require symptomatic treatment.
I would have treated you with tablet paracetamol 500 mg thrice daily for 3 days. Decongestant like (triprolidine 2.5 mg, phenylephrine 5 mg) thrice daily for 3 days. Kindly ask for similar agent at your place. I would start you on decongestant nose drops to open the tubes. Instill 3 drops of otrivin in each nostril 3 times a day for 6 days and follow it up with steam inhalation with few drops of eucalyptus oil in it. Only steam inhalation can be done 3 to 4 times a day. Salt water gargaling two to three times a day. Drink lots of water especially warm water and stay away from air conditioned rooms. With this measures he should be fine.
This provisional advice provided by me is based entirely on the input provided to me. I would suggest examination by the doctor.
I hope this suggestion might be of some help to you.
Take care.
