No panics yet, can still see PCP,

Hi and thanks for the query,
I have gone through your medical history, and it is but understandable and justified for you to be worried, especially with regards to pulmonary embolism, especially since you have experienced that already.
A funny sound as one exhales. though deserve a careful look to ascertain the probable cause. is not a common nor classical finding seen in pulmonary embolism. If you do not experience an acute onset of breathing difficulties, cough, or pain on the chest, I do not think based simply on this noise you should be so worried. With your drugs and current state, I do not think you need to panic, but you could still see a PCP tomorrow. My suggestion is that you take your drugs as prescribed and wait and see your doctor as planned.
Developing a lot of fear with sound on exhalation to be due to pulmonary embolism should not bother you much, especially if you breath normally and experience no cough nor chest pain. It s but normal to get a clinical review from your PCP t elucidate why the sound on exhalation.
Kind regards,
Dr Bain
