Brief Answer:
Please get a sonogram of the pelvis.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for letting us know your health concern with us.

In the current scenario, you have to exclude pregnancy through a clinical evaluation, pregnancy test and sonogram of the pelvis preferably in the trans-vaginal route.

If negative, hormone imbalance leading to breakthrough bleed is the possible reason for this menstrual pattern. After evaluation, you may be prescribed a course of hormones.

If positive, it remains to be seen if the pregnancy is viable and what is causing the bleeding. Absolute bed rest, hormone supplements are needed to maintain the pregnancy.

Hope you find this information useful. Please feel free to contact for further clarifications. I will be happy to help.

regards,
Shanti.V.
