What Causes Spotting After Having Unprotected Sex During Fertility Period?

Question: My name is XXXX. Myself and my wife is trying to conceive from last two months. Last month my wife had her mensuration on 2nd Jun'15. We had intercourse during the fertility window which was from 16 Jun to 22 Jun.from 26 Jun she was feeling extreme dizziness, headache and vertigo. She was expecting her mensuration on 2nd Jul but from 1st Jul she got stomach cramps below belly button and from 3rd she got spotting and from 4th Jul she had very light bleeding and which was continued for three days till 6th . From today she is saying she dont think she will get normal periods.
We as a couple are confused, what it is all about . Is this a implantation bleeding or something else.
Plz reply.

Brief Answer:
Most probably due to implementation bleeding.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Thanks for trusting hcm about your health care. I can understand your concerns.
The spotting is most probably due to implantation bleeding; but since the flow was for 3 days other possibilities including lighter period cannot be excluded. In this circumstance, I suggest she should go for a home urine pregnancy test to rule out pregnancy.
Other symptoms can be due to hormonal changes.
Please revert with her urine test result.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Good luck.
Regards

Brief Answer:
Yes,it is true.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX
Your parents opinion is right, sometimes it will take 7-10 days from missed period date to give positive results.
Urine pregnancy test detect hcg hormone in urine.
The test results maybe negative if hcg levels are low and test is less sensitive.
You can go to your doctor and get her blood bets hcg level to see whether she is pregnant or not( more confirmatory test).
She should not travel if pregnancy is there.
Hope it is useful.
Good luck
