What Causes Spotting And Irregular Periods With Abdominal Cramps?
Question: I got married in Nov 22nd 2013. my last period is 25th XXXXXXX 2014 and it is regular between 28 to 29 days. by 3rd july i am able to see spotting of blood once again. Had intercours eby 2nd july.. not sure what would be problem and why got bleeding.. I am having abdominal cramping as well.whether i need to consult the doctor immediately. please clarify and suggest

- the flow in your last was normal or not?
- any contraception you are taking
- vigorous sexual activity on 2nd or usual one?
- thyroid hormone levels if ever checked.

Hi,
flow was less on 25th and 26th. but good from 27th till 29th. Normal sexual activity. not used any contraception. thyroid hormone not checked.

Do a urine pregnancy test and see for the result.
In case positive immediate ultrasound and gynecologist visit.
But in case negative then see for the flow and duration of spotting -
- in case stops in a day or two then nothing to worry it is just an ovulation bleeding which is normal and self limiting.
- in case increases and doesn't stop even after 3 days then get an ultrasound done as it can be due to various reasons like
1) ovarian cyst
2) endometrial polyp
Then visit your gynecologist with reports.
