Brief Answer:
Polyps can cause thickening of uterine wall

Detailed Answer:
Hi dear and thanks for trusting to us.

I understand your concern and I will try to help you.

Polyps are overgrowth of inner layer of uterus, endometrium, hence they can cause thickening of uterine wall.

After you will do D&C polyps and endometrium will go for hystopathologyc examination, to exclude endometrial cancer.
Don't worry so much because chances are very small for cancer.

In postmenopausal women with endometrial polyps and bleeding, chances are about 3 %.

Hence be calm down.

All the best and good results.
