
What Causes Stabbing Pain From Left Pec To Back?

Question: I have had ekgs, echocardiograms, stress test chest x rays, blood tests, tropholin test for heart enzymes, glucose test, mri on my brain everything is normal but I still have chest pressure and tightness and now new symptoms of someone feeling like they are stabbing me from the middle of my left pec to my back it comes and goes any ideas of what could be going on and I had all those test one month ago symptoms are pretty consistent they say its anxiety but the stabbing one just started today

It's a good thing that all the mentioned examinations were normal (especially negative for ischemic heart disease). Once that ischemic heart disease is ruled out other causes of chest pain should be ruled out.
If you were my patients as next step i would exclude gastric problems (i.e GERD). So i would recommend:
- Abdominal ultrasound
- Endoscopy
Only if all the test will result normal than your pain is related to stress.
