What Causes Sternum Pain After Eating Fatty Food?

Question: Recently after eating a heavy dinner with lots of fat, i experienced a sort of pressure in my sternum area a few hours after eating. The pressure got worse and started to hurt mildly and continued through the night. The "lump" seemed to move down lower as the hours passed and finally in the morning i got some tums and the pain subsided. But there continues to be a sort of pressure; if i breathe deeply, i feel a sort of pressure between the sternum and belly button area. This is after several days.
Could it be from muscle strain or just the food or combination. I had been carrying some heavy stuff a few days before the incident.
