Explained
Detailed Answer:
Hello and Welcome
I appreciate your concern
Lorazepam is a benzodiazepam. Its mainly an anxiolytic and used for insomnia and anxiety disorders. It also has muscle relaxant properties. At 5 mg , its bound to cause significant sedation.
Tizanidine or cyclobenzapirine are specific muscle relaxant with some sedative side effects.
You should definitely take the cipro/flagyl antibiotics, prescribed by your doctor. They are safe medication.
Wishing you best of health
Thanks

I don't think I was very clear in my question. I want to know what to do about the side effect of stiffness in my neck arms thighs and low back after taking just one Flagyl tablet. I know what Lorazepam is for and wanted to know if it is safe to take one with the Flagyl (I am prescribed Lorazepam 0.5mg x3/day) for anxiety and tension. I am also concerned to continue with the Flagyl because it is making me hurt achy and very stiff, especially the back of my neck and skull'

Detailed Answer:
Hello again .
Yes, lorazepam can be taken safely for the associated stiffness/ aches with flagyl.
If you are unable to tolerate flagyl then alternative meds like tinidazole can be advised accordingly in consultation with your doctor.
Thanks
