What Causes Stinging Pain During Urination?

Question: I have a stinging pain when I pee. There is also light pink blood on the toilet paper when I wipe. What is the issue?

You have typical symptoms of urinary tract infection. You may also have frequent urinating and lower abdominal pain.
I suggest you to consult your doctor and have urine analysis. Antibiotic seems necessary.
You should also increase mineral water intake and start cranberries supplements.

I do not have any of those symptoms. It is all irritation on the outside. It is also red and swollen now

Mentioned symptoms can be present but do not have to. Redness and swollen just confirms the infection. It is most likely localized in the first part of urinary tract - urethra. Still urine analysis is necessary.
