Mucosal ulceration, pinched nerve, muscle spasm
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Welcome to Healthcare Magic.
Thanks for the query.
I have read your problem and understood your query.
I hope you can answer me a few questions for me to be in a better position to help you.
Could you tell me when you drank the kerosene and how much did you drink approximately ?
Have you ever got an endoscopy check up of your throat and food pipe ?
Since you are a patient of Cervical spondylosis, there is possible nerve pinching of the nerve in the left side of your neck, which is why you are experiencing the symptoms of severe neck pain on the left side.
Drinking the kerosene would have caused damage to the inner lining of the food pipe in the neck and also the deeper muscles. This can also cause spasm behind the ulcerated of damaged part of the food pipe or throat in the neck.
It is possible that the thin lining of the throat and stomach are damaged and causing underlying muscle spasm. If the lining is damaged there may be ulcerations.
I advise you to take sips of cool fluid and not drink in bulk, if you have pain on swallowing. If you are having symptoms of nausea, pain or difficulty in swallowing, then it is best to consult a Gastroenterologist.
As I can see in your list of medications, you aren't on any specific treatment for your cervical spondylosis. I advise you to avoid flexing your neck forwards, avoid lifting heavy bags on the shoulders. Apply hot water bag or warm soaks over the painful area of the neck. You can take tablet containing Diclofenac 75mg or 100mg + Thiocolchicoside which is pain killer and muscle relaxant respectively. This is prescription drug. This will help bring down the pain and spasm due to the pinched nerve and offer you relief. Alternatively, you can apply pain killer gel of the same combination drugs. Keep the cervical collar while sitting or standing.
You can continue this for 5-7 days and if you aren't finding relief or it is getting worse, you should consult your Orthopaedician for different treatment option.
I am empathetic to the severe disabling symptoms you are facing and am always ready to help you. Kindly follow up with me about your Reports if you have any for me to help you further in this regard.
I hope I have answered your query.
I will be available to answer your follow up queries.
Thanking you.
