What Causes Strange Feeling In Chest While Suffering From High BP?
Question: I have had this same issue for years, and can never find any real answers. My doctor has never seemed concerned, but it concerns me. In different places in my chest I get fleeting zaps which last for a second or maybe a couple of seconds, or maybe a dull feeling which lasts for a few seconds. Sometimes I can go a month with no issues, other times it can happen multiple times a day. I have no other symptoms.

I read your question and i understand your concern. This feeling of fleeting zap is either due to a cardia problem which ECG rules out easily. Had it been cardiac problem it would have been once and for all and either dead or managed with cardiac meds would have been the result so it is not cardiac problem.
other presentation like this is due to acid reflux which is very likely in your case due to overweight status of 300 pounds. You need to reduce the weight my friend and this zapping feeling will poof away on its own.
3rd cause of such sensations is anxiety which you already have and are using zoloft for it.
So two out of three likely possibilities of this zapping are present in you and needs management with compliant anxiolytics medications intake and losing weight.
