What Causes Strong Increased Kicks During Pregnancy?

I am 34 weeks 3 days pregnant with bicornuate uterus and baby is in breech position.
I had growth scan at 31 weeks and as per doctor, everything is fine.
But from last couple of days i see sudden increase in babys movements..continous kicks and it is not keeping quite at all..i am worried a lot with this sudden change in the behaviour.
Kicks are so strong that i am feeling very restless and slightly feverish...
Please let me know if this is common in few cases or do i need to see my doctor immediately.
Will be waiting for your response.
Thanks,

Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXXXX and welcome to health care magic,
First of all congratulations for the pregnancy and wish you a safe delivery.
Aoout the increased kicks: This is not uncommon as the movements tend to be perceived more during the later weeks of pregnancy. Also in breech they may be percived even more depnding upon the type of breech [ there are many types and in some the legs are near the upper part of the uterus and so may feel more movements].
Other reasons for excessive movements may be early asphyxia when the baby does not get enough oxygen and nutrients. However your recent scan was alright. So likelihood of this is less.
But since you have a biconuate uterus and so the pregnancy is already a more precious one according to me it is better to see a doctor and get a biophysical profile done along with a doppler. I also recommmend a per speculum examination of the cervix to rule out preterm opening of the cervix.
If these are alright then just do not worry. The babies do tend to be more active sometimes and less the other times [ when they sleep].
So take care and wish you a happy mother hood.
Hope this satisfies your query.
Thanks for using HCM.
