I was around 13years, and absoletly i dont have any problems right now rather than my sight weakness, though I use glasses. I dont know if there is a cure for that, and if if there is high posibility of being blindness.
Brief Answer:
Regular eye examination and antioxidants
Detailed Answer:
Hi back,
Usually, patients with RP are advised to get regular check up with ophthalmologist once a year or every 5 years.
With regards to treatment, apart lenses and regular eye examination, antioxidants are highly recommended including but.A, DHA, vit. C, etc.
So my advise is to recheck with eye doctor again the actual status of your eyes for best treatment strategy before considering surgery.
Hope it helped.
