What Causes Sudden Falls In Old Age?
![default](/r/images/default.png)
Question: What are some common reasons for older people to fall, ruling out Parkinson's and brain tumors. I have had about 6-8 falls in the last year, and am 79. I have had scans and MRI's and Xrays, and a Dat scan and everything has showed up normal. I am now very fearful of walking without a wheelchair because I never know when I will fall.
Brief Answer:
Symptoms before and after falling
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for your query.
Symptoms before and after falling give an idea into what could be the cause or how to proceed in diagnosing the same.
I would like to know some similar details.
Before falling :
Do you feel dizzy before falling ?
Do you feel weak in the limbs ?
Do you black out, loose consciousness and fall?
Do you feel your surrounding moving ?
Will there be any chest pain ?
After fall :
Do you loose consciousness ?
Will there be any memory impairment ?
Do you vomit ?
Waiting for your reply.
