Brief Answer:
Should be taken to ER.

Detailed Answer:
I read your question carefully and I understand your concern.

I think the symptoms require careful medical attention. Any episode of loss of consciousness requires evaluation. When there is also severe acute onset headache and nausea, in particular if she's not had such headaches in the past, then there is even more cause for concern for the possibility of a subarachnoid hemorrhage, cerebral venous thrombosis or other types of stroke.

So I think she should be brought to the emergency room to be evaluated in that direction. Hopefully at the end it will turn out to be something harmless such as migraine or tension type headache, but should be checked first.

I remain at your disposal for other questions.

never hit her head. She has complained about a ache in her back about 2 weeks ago..saying it comes and goes. She said before she passed out she had that pain in her back. Today she said she had it again followed by intense warmth of her body.

Brief Answer:
Read below.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for the additional information.

The fact she hasn't hit her head doesn't mean much, the diagnoses I mentioned are not related to trauma. I didn't mention them as due to the loss of consciousness but rather as the cause for losing conscience.

The fact that she has had some other symptoms in the preceding days make subarachnoid hemorrhage less likely as it is a very abrupt event. That does lower the level of alertness and perhaps an over the counter painkiller like Ibuprofen should be tried before rushing to the ER. It is the best remedy for tension type headache which is often associated with increased tension in spinal muscles. However if symptoms persist I still maintain that she should be seen sooner rather than later.

Let me know if I can further assist you.
