What Causes Sudden Numbness And Weakness In The Leg?
Suggestions
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I am Dr Mittal.
I have read your message.
The symptoms of the query are highly suggestive of a nerve related problem.
There is numbness and weakness of the right leg.
There is a history of trauma.
There is a high possibility that the spinal cord or the radicle arising from it that supplies the leg is getting compressed.
The cause of compression is likely to be the trauma to the right hip.
One other possibility is damage to the nerve plexus that supplies the leg.
It will need a detailed examination by a neurosurgeon dealing with spine cases since one can obviously not examine on this forum.
I would suggest testing with an MRI spine and NCS of both lower limbs.
Please do let us know the further reports so I may be able to help you further.
I have tried to make it as simple as possible. Please feel free to contact us for further information.
Best of luck, Dr Mittal
