Question: I am a 63 year old woman. Am a staph carrier and have a few active lesions. Last night I had a seizure that lasted 10 seconds. I also a very sensitive to bright and had been outside in bright light just before the seizure. I was very tired from driving in heavy traffic for 6 hours. Could any of this have been the reason for the seizure? Thank you

Detailed Answer:
Dear Madam,

Welcome to HealthCareMagic.com I am Dr.J XXXXXXX Anto Bruno Mascarenhas, and I am here to help you. I have read your question with care and understand that you are a Staph Carrier and had a seizure that lasted 10 seconds after you had been outside in bright light just before the seizure.

Bright Light, Sparkling Lights etc are well documented to produce seizure
Staph Lesions in Brain can produce Seizures
Tiredness also can precipitate Seizures

To move forward, You need to undergo
1. Clinical Examination
2. Fundus Examination
3. Radiological Evaluation

You also need to take
1. Prophylactic Anti Epilepsy Medications

I would request you to kindly consult a Neurosurgeon at the earliest for Proper Evaluation and Treatment

Hope you found the answer helpful.
