Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thanks for choosing healthcaremagic for posting your query

I'm Dr. Sudhir Kumar,

I have gone through your question in detail and understand your concern. You are having probably synovial effusion as you have swelling of knee and unable to fully flex and extend. It may be due to early osteoarthritis . Treatment of it is rest, analgesic such as ibuprofen (you are already talking) and quadriceps exercises. It is likely to resolve in 1-2 weeks. Glucosamine is helpful in slowing of degenerative process in osteoarthritis and pain relief. If not resolve in this time then you need it further investigation by x ray and MRI of knee joint.
You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.

Hope I have answered your query.
If you have any further query, I would be glad to help you.
If not, you may close the discussion and if possible you may rate the answer for me, so that I get a good feedback.
