What Causes Swelling In The Feet While On Colchicine?
Question: I have been taking Colchicine for Gout. I thought you took a limited amount of meds. If my foot is still swollen and joints are tender (I've had gout before), can I continue to take the meds?
Brief Answer:
Yes. Also try other medication
Detailed Answer:
Hi there.
Thanks for the query.
Colchicine is taken only for the acute swelling and pain. You can also try taking NSAIDs like Ibuprofen or even steroids.
You need to be on Allopurinol or Febuxostat for long term control of Uric acid as well.
I hope I have answered your query.
