What Causes Swelling In Upper Right Cheek?

Can be a bone infection or uncompressed socket.
Detailed Answer:
Hello XXXXX,
Thank you for consulting with healthcaremagic.
This is Dr. Dipti Singh here to answer your query.
If you had your teeth removed 12 years back and you are experiencing swelling till now then there can be two reasons for this swelling,
-first it can be possible that at the time of removal of teeth of this right upper side, the socket of the tooth was left uncompressed ( as it should compressed after extraction) so now it is creating a bulge.
-second it can be possible that you might have any bony infection in that area, which is causing this swelling.
But to get it confirmed you have to get a full mouth x - ray (OPG) done for your jaw as it will show the area of infection.
Better that once you should visit your dentist and get complete examination of the swelling done with x - ray.
Hope it will help you.
Thank you.
Regards
