What Causes Swelling Over Hands And Neck And Itching Sensation?

Chronic urticaria, need to find the cause
Detailed Answer:
Hi
I understand your concern regarding your skin problem and I hope I am able to help you in the same.
You seem to be suffering from chronic urticaria.
This is basically a type of skin allergy in which there is development of urticarial rash throughout the body .
Such a skin sensitivity can occur due to any body infections or after intake of any food items or due to intake of some medicine, although there there is a whole list of causes of such an allergic reaction.
I would like to know if you have any chronic cough, fever or abdominal discomfort or abnormal stool movement or any burning on urination.
Do you take any pain killers or antibiotics on and off or any other medicines or supplements.
Any particular food items which you can relate with the allergic process each time?
Have you ever been investigated for the reason of allergy. I basic panel including blood assessment, eosinophil count, stool and urine examination with thyroid profile is required in patients with chronic urticaria so as to look for the cause of the same.
Please provide me the above details so that we can reach a definite cause for your problem.

You need to be thoroughly investigated
Detailed Answer:
Hi again XXXXXX,
I would really attribute your problem to a dirty surrounding or anything.
I really think you need a very thorough check up.
We are usually able to find a probable reason for such a chronic skin allergy.
As far as food items are concerned, you can try to find if you notice increased skin allergy after intake of any particular food items.
I would again advise you to discuss with your doctor the need for blood allergy level testing which is the absolute eosinophil count along with thyroid profile test, which I assume have not been done on you yet.
As far as the treatment for this condition is concerned,it involves taking of some antihistamine only like tablet cpm. But it is equally important to find the cause of the allergy.
Also some doctors prefer to give their patients long term tapering courses of anti histamines which help in controlling the urticaria.
I hope the above information would be helpful and you can always discuss the above points with your treating doctor.
