What Causes Swelling, Soreness And Bruising On The Left Wrist?
It could be a problem with one of the superficial veins.
Detailed Answer:
Hello Mam,
Welcome to Health Care Magic and Thank you for the question.
I understand your concern but please do let me know which vein are you talking about? Which part of the body? Without that information it would be difficult for me to comment as to what is the problem.
But broadly speaking if the vein has swollen up and was visible then it is a superficial vein. Superficial veins do not usually lead to any serious problems even if they get blocked or bruised as they do not lead to any serious consequences. They usually do not require any treatment as well. Therefore, I feel you are fairly safe and do not need to worry at all. Please relax and give the area some rest and warm foamentation.
Take care and do let me know if there are other concerns or queries.

You should apply Heparin ointment and take analgesics.
Detailed Answer:
Hi.
Thanks for the reply.
Wrist veins are the commonest to get bruised or injured. Most likely some minor trauma or injury that might have gone unnoticed would be the reason. You need not worry.
Just apply Heparin ointment or Thrombophob ointment over the area 2 to 3 times a day and take analgesic medicines like Diclofenac or Ibuprofen twice a day on full stomach. Take this treatment for 3 to 5 days and you should be fine.
If such an episode repeats then please show it to a Doctor or let us know.
Take care and do let me know if I can be if help further on this issue.
