What Causes Swollen Face After Taking Prolia Injection?
Question: I HAD MY 5TH PROLIA INJECTION in Dec 2016. Felt really bad after having it, now for the past 2 months have had face swelling, sinus problems, rash on neck. I have been to the doctor several times had blood work and no infection showed. Doctor think it isan allergic reaction to Prolia and tell me to take allery meds. IF it is prolia how long are the side effects going to last?
Brief Answer:
Up to 6 months
Detailed Answer:
Dear Ms,
prolia injections tend to have a wide range of side effects . and you should balance the benefits versus the side effects of you will consider taking it again. the side effects lasts for up to 6 months .. but could go away earlier than that. the face swelling and rash are common side effects of prolia and should be treated with antihistaminics and prednisone .
