Brief Answer:
This is not normal; there should be no swelling now.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have studied your case. It is uncommon to notice swelling now. But offcourse most likely the swelling is related to dependant (prolonged standing) edema secondary to prolonged standing and physical exertion.

Perhaps you are not resting enough after exertion. Recliner chair with feet up might not be sufficient. I will advise you to lie on bed with 2 pillow limb elevation. This helps in faster recovery of dependant edema.

You can use ted hose also but limb elevation and rest is more important.

Along with this, I also advice you to start physiotherapy and exercises gradually under a trained physiotherapist. You may need strengthening exercises.

That being said, if you persist to have this swelling for more than a week, I will insist you to visit your primary physician and get evaluated further for cause of swelling.

Hope this answers your query. If you have additional questions or follow up queries then please do not hesitate in writing to us. I will be happy to answer your queries.

Wishing you good health.

Take care.
