What Causes Swollen Labia On One Side?

Question: My labia on one side has become extremely swollen-about the size of two golfballs.
I have had a Bartholin cyst with no abcess or infection. I took an epsom salt bath and also stupidly applied a compress of undiluted salts to the area.
The swelling has not subsided and it has been four days. I have been taking ibuprofen, benedryl, applying ice packs and taking warm water sitz baths.
I have continued to work which involves standing and walking. I applied a antibiotic cream when working.
There is no discharge or blistering. Became much more painful in the last day.
What timeline should i expect swelling to decrease? I have stayed off my feet in bed today.

Brief Answer:
This will take at least 2 weeks to heal.
Detailed Answer:
Hi,
Thank you for your query. I can understand your concerns.
This will take at least 2 weeks to heal.
That too only if you are very careful and follow the following advice:
1) Continue taking ibuprofen, applying ice packs and taking warm water sitz baths.
2) keep the area dry.
3) do not wear panites.
4) do not allow friction at that area. Walk minimal.
But do not worry .
These heal unless its so much damage that their is an ulcer.
Can you upload a pic of the area so that i have a better idea.
