Brief Answer:
There can be many causes

Detailed Answer:
Hi
Thanks for your query.

High heart rate or tachycardia is not worrisome issue in itself. What is the heart rate?
There can be many causes for high pulse like high thyroid, infection, heart issues, etc. If all these conditions have been ruled out by physical examination, blood tests and any other investigation required, then it may be idiopathic. Idiopathic means that no cause found for it.

To find cause, investigations are required. An ECG is also required.

On long term it may affect heart. High heart rates are usually well tolerated and physiologically heart rate does increase in response to exercise, etc. Precautions depend on cause of tachycardia and severity of problem.

I suggest that a consultation with internal medicine specialist or cardiologist is taken.
